This 5-ingredient slow cooker beef brisket recipe makes the most tender, flavorful brisket you’ll ever have! A juicy, falling-apart brisket slow-cooked with a savory BBQ dry rub, finished under the broiler for that trademark bark!
Slow Cooker BBQ Beef Brisket
If the weather near you hasn’t quite hit the appropriate temperatures for outside cooking, this slow cooker beef brisket recipe will satisfy that craving for tender, smoky meat. You may wonder how it’s possible to replicate that trademark smoky flavor when cooking a brisket in the slow cooker, but here’s my secret. A few minutes in the oven on broil gives that perfect finishing touch – a dark, smoky bark all along the outside of the fall-apart tender brisket.
The simple ingredients and mouth-watering flavor totally make up for the long cooking time.
Ingredients for Slow Cooker Beef Brisket Recipe
Would you believe me if I told you this recipe only calls for FIVE ingredients?! It’s true! All you need to do is toss everything together and let that baby cook overnight in your slow cooker, and the result is simply the best BBQ flavors soaked into tender, buttery beef brisket. You can find the exact ingredient measurements in the recipe card at the end of the post. Here’s everything you need:
- Beef Brisket: I use a 7–8-pound brisket, which fits into my slow cooker and makes plenty of leftovers.
- BBQ Dry Rub: I use my very own Rosamae Seasonings BBQ rub, which is a mix of all the classic BBQ seasonings. This trademark rub is the same dry rub recipe I’ve shared before, so you can make it homemade too if you choose!
- Olive Oil: helps the dry rub stick to the brisket.
- Apple Cider Vinegar: helps to tenderize the meat and gives the brisket that signature BBQ joint flavor.
- Liquid Smoke: just a few tablespoons of this stuff replicates that fresh-off-the-smoker flavor you’d get from traditional barbecued brisket.

Should I use a flat-cut brisket or a point-cut brisket for this recipe?
A point-cut brisket is the traditional beef cut used when making a smoked brisket, but either cut will work for this recipe! Flat-cut brisket is typically larger than point-cut, so if you’re planning on feeding a larger crowd, go with the larger cut (just keep in mind the cooking time might vary).
Does this slow-cooker beef brisket recipe need any cooking liquid?
No, it does not! The brisket will release plenty of liquid as it cooks, which will also help to keep the meat nice and tender throughout the longer cook time. I do use a small amount of apple cider vinegar, which adds some additional liquid. If you don’t love the vinegar flavor, swap it out with water or beef broth.
What is the best dry rub for brisket?
A nice, flavorful, savory BBQ rub, in my opinion! If you have a favorite brand or seasoning that’s tried-and-true in your home, feel free to stick with that. My own recipe of dry rub includes the basics: brown sugar, salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. The secret is using a lot of dry rub, because that flavorful coating on the outside turns into the most delicious bark when broiled for a few minutes at the end of the recipe.

How to Make Slow-Cooker Beef Brisket
The hours of slow cooking will pay off once you cut into this tender, juicy beef brisket! And it’s truly so easy to make – no babysitting a smoker or oven, constantly temping, turning, and watching your brisket cook. Let’s get on into it.
First, Make the Seasoning Rub:
Mix the dry rub seasoning with 2 tablespoons each of olive oil and apple cider vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of Liquid Smoke. This will turn the seasoning mixture into a paste. Rub those savory seasonings all over your brisket, making sure to cover the whole cut of meat.
Prep the Slow Cooker:
Once the brisket is nice and well-seasoned, prep your slow cooker with some nonstick cooking spray. I’m using a 6-quart slow cooker with plenty of room for my 7-8-pound brisket. If you’re planning on making a larger brisket, you’ll likely need a larger slow cooker.
Slow Cook the Beef Brisket:
Set your slow cooker to LOW and cook that baby for 12 hours. When something has this long of a cooking time, I plan to start it the night before and let it cook overnight. The next day, I have dinner ready to go right off the bat.
Broil the Brisket for a Perfect Finish:
The last step is to broil the brisket for just a few minutes to get that signature smoky crust on the outside. Once the brisket is cooked, transfer it to an aluminum foil-lined sheet pan and place it under the broiler for 3-5 minutes, or until that dark crust forms across the top of the brisket.
Let the Brisket Rest:
Once the brisket is nice and crusted with that savory, smoky bark, wrap it in the foil and LET. IT. REST. This is the most important step to get that tender, juicy brisket. All the juice soaks back into the meat, leaving it oh-so-moist and flavorful. I typically let it rest for at least an hour before slicing and serving!
Slow Cooker Brisket Recipe Tips and Tricks
Cooking beef brisket doesn’t have to be hard or intimidating – that’s exactly why I love this Crockpot beef brisket recipe! It takes all the hard work out of making a delicious meal. As usual, I want to share some Cousin Rosie tips and tricks, as well as answer some FAQs from y’all! If there’s anything specific you want to know, drop a comment down below!
- Low and slow is the way to go if you want the best brisket you’ve ever had. Don’t try to rush the cooking time! Depending on the size of your brisket, it can take anywhere from 10 to 14 hours to cook on low heat, so plan ahead.
- Knock it out of the park by pairing your slow cooker beef brisket with BBQ sauce. You can use your favorite store-bought sauce or whip up a homemade barbecue sauce.
- If you don’t like the flavor of Liquid Smoke, you can leave it out or swap it out with an equal amount of Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce. Either one will give you the same savory, umami flavor that tastes oh-so-right with brisket.
- This brisket will be tender enough to shred, but hold together well enough to cut into nice, thick slices. I personally prefer to serve brisket thick cut.
- If your brisket isn’t fork-tender, it needs more time to cook. It’s hard to overcook a brisket – the longer it cooks, the more tender it becomes! The perfect internal temperature for juicy, tender brisket is 195°F to 205°F.
- You can prep by seasoning the brisket with the dry rub and letting it sit in the fridge overnight or for up to 1 day. When you’re ready to make the brisket, take it out of the fridge and toss it into the slow cooker.
What can I make with leftover brisket?
The possibilities are truly endless when you have leftovers of this delicious slow-cooked beef brisket. You could make a savory beef brisket chili, brisket nachos, or a leftover BBQ charcuterie board. Toss together some brisket tacos or shredded BBQ brisket sandwiches. You could even swap it for ground beef in some recipes, like this Tex-Mex skillet recipe or beef pot pie recipe.
What are the best side dishes to serve with Crockpot beef brisket?
Just about anything you’d serve at a good ol’ fashioned BBQ will pair perfectly with slow-cooked brisket! Some of my favorite sides are:
- Southern Sweet Cornbread
- Southern Hush Puppies Recipe
- Southern Potato Salad Recipe
- Southern Baked Macaroni and Cheese Casserole
- Corn Pudding Casserole
- Southern Green Beans and Potatoes
- Miracle Whip Coleslaw Recipe
…can y’all tell I like my Southern sides? LOL!

Rosie!!!!! Oh my goodness!!!! Words can’t describe this recipe…….scrumptious! This is the best looking bisket I have seen in a looooong time! The juicy meat with the bark is calling my name. Definitely going on the menu ASAP. Pinned. Thanks for sharing!XOXO
And it’s super easy! Thanks for coming by Mary!
It doesn’t stick with no liquid added?
Nope. Check out the video 🙂
Instead of putting it under the broiler at the end, could I sear it first before putting it in the slow cooker?
When it cooks in the slow cooker, it will release liquid. So searing before won’t keep it crisp. If you want a crisp outter part, the oven is a must. 🙂
Fixed this and it was amazing! It browned in the slow cooker so putting it under the broiler wasn’t necessary. Easy peasy and oh so good!
Thanks for trying my recipe Kim!
I have a small brisket- 3 lbs. Would I reduce the crockpot time to about half?
That may work 🙂
This brisket is the bomb Rosie
This was amazing. Looked just like the picture and tasted delicious. I’ve always been afraid to cook brisket, but I will always make it this way whenever I do!
Hi Angela! Glad that you tried, and liked my recipe! XOXO
So delicious! Will be a hit with my family!
Thanks for coming by!
Rosie, does the liquid smoke give the meat a strong smoked flavor or just a hint of smoke????
It depends on how much you add. You can add as much or as little as you’d like.
What sides would I make with this??
Try potato salad, baked beans, macaroni salad…. any barbecue side dishes
Woooow! This recipe is unbelievably delicious! My sister sent me this recipe to try because I was wanting more recipes for my slow cooker. My family and I never had brisket before so I thought, let’s give it a try. It was so good, my kids were just complimenting on how yummy it was with every other bite lol. Thank you for sharing this with us Rosie!
Hi Jacel! I love this recipe too! It is by far my easiest brisket recipe, and it always comes out perfect.
Hi!
So I made this for my husband monday night and was ready for him to take burritos to work, tuesday morning. He absolutely!!! Loved them! Now problem is, im making his lunch today and since the brisket has sat over night in the fridge , it doesnt have same juciness and flavors it had tuesday.. And since his coworkers now just how good the burritos were, he wants me to make a few extra for a few of them. How can i fix the dryness and bring that flavor back , from the brisket sitting in the fridge over night? Fyi i shredded it (all) maybe thats why its dry…. But next time i wont…. Please help!
Hi Sonya! I’m glad that you liked the recipe! Next time reserve some of the juice from the slow cooker, and pour it over the shredded meat. That should keep in moist. XOXO
My man loves him some brisket, I can’t wait to make this! Thanks Rosie!
Mine too! This recipe is sooo easy & delicious!! It never fails me.
Lawd…made this today….and it is finger lickin GOOD! ! I used the flat brisket from Costco, and reduced the cooking time. ..did I mention…finger lickin GOOD!!! LOL Thanks for sharing
Hi June!! So glad that you liked the recipe!! Wasn’t it super easy?! I love it!
Hi Rosie
I just made your salsbury steak recipe it came out awesome, this is the next one i want to try But my husband is from southeren Texas he doesn’t like vinager tasting brisket can i leave the vinager out? Is there something else i should add ti replace the liguid in the slow cooker?
Thank you for all your wonderful recipes! I now have lots of new things to make.
Hi Lisa- You can replace the vinegar with water! 🙂
I’m so glad I kept reading! I want to start mine now (0244) So it can be ready in time for dinner. I didn’t have apple cider vinegar so I’ll just use water instead! Thank you
Hi Rosie,
Thank you so much for your recipes. All of your recipes are on point and delicious. I have no doubt that this will be the same. At my local grocery store they have Corned Beef Brisket. Is this the same as Beef Brisket? The picture did not look like a Corned Beef Brisket. Thank you for your help.
Hi Jewel! No, this isn’t corned beef. This is beef brisket. Corned Beef is cured in salt & sugar. This is not.
Im backkkkkkk! lol! So i took your advice and i kept
The juice from the brisket to keep it moist, it was such a hit the first time lol I literally made it three times in about a week maybe a week in a half because my husbands coworkers absolutely loved it lol. Someone even asked if i could make a 13-14lb brisket for him, i was like ummm i dont know about that lol, i am brisketed out. But i loved it and so did my husband and his coworkers, so thank you for the tips. HEY! Do you have a one bake recipe like veggies and meat all in one dish? I saw one on fb, this woman had salmon with corn , broccoli, red potatoes and it actually looked pretty good. She used olive oil, parsley, old bay, butter …. Id love to see your spin on a dish like that! Thank you again!!
Hi Sonya! I will definitely work on more ” one pot” dishes! I’m glad that everyone liked the brisket recipe! I’m going to upload recipes for leftover brisket soon. LOL
could i cook it for 6 hrs on high in the slow cooker ?
This recipe turned out great Rosie thanks for sharing.
Thanks for giving my recipe a go!
In a word “WOW” another word “Awesome”
Thanks Aaron!!
Can I cook the brisket in 6 hrs instead of 12
For best results stick to the recipe.
Hi Rosie I made the barbecue brisket recipe and everyone loved it. I came back to your website to find the barbecue rub recipe so I can make it again but couldn’t find it can you please help?
Hi Magaly! The recipe is here.
Rosie, Need to know what spices are used for the rub and how much of each.
The rub is here.
My brisket is too big for my slow cooker. Can I cook this in the oven instead? If so, what temp and how long?
Hi Dee, I have a post on how to cook brisket it the oven HERE
I have a brisket that is a little under 4 pounds. Would I still cook it for 12 hours? It’s only my husband and I and I thought the 7-8 pound might be too big. I’m very anxious to try this. It looks delicious!
Hi Vicki! Try 8 hours 🙂
Awesome! I am making thisSaturday! My Brisket is 4.5lbs, so i was thinking 8 hours and found my answer right here! 🙂 Now, approximately how long does it broil for?
I just broil mine until I get the color that I want. Maybe 2 minutes or so. Just keep a close eye one it 🙂
What do you think about putting the rub on the brisket and letting it set overnight in the frig. Then popping it in the slow cooker in the morning to cook? Would the flavors be too intense? Would it change the texture of the meat? Anxious to try it. Have a brisket thawing in the frig now.
I think seasoning, and letting it sit overnight would be fine! XOXO
I have a brisket thats a little under 2lbs (Just me plus 1) how long do I cook it for?
Try 4 hours 🙂
First timer here. My crockpot doesn’t have low to high it goes by temperature, what temperature should I use? Thank you
Hi there Yuliana! The temperature should be 190 F, for 12 hours.
This brisket was such a hit this holiday dinner! I didn’t have 12 hours to cook so I slow cooked mine for 6 on high and it was AMAZING! Thanks for the easy and tasty recipe and can’t wait to see what other goodies are on your website!
Glad that you liked the recipe.
Rosie if I have a roast @2.8 lbs how long would you suggest I cook the brisket on low for?
A roast? Check out my roast recipe here.
Sorry i forgot to mention how many hours to cook on for 2.17 brisket that will make it tender enough for me to shred the meat when its done ?
Try 4-5 hours.
Hi i keep posting my question and it seem like it gets deleted . i just wanted to know how long u cook a 2.18 lb brisket for in the crockpot ?
Hi Dontashia. I noticed that you’ve asked this question several times on my blog, and on YouTube. I responded earlier 🙂
Yes im sorry about that . i kept reposting because i never seen your answer posted. Everytime i would check to see if you commented , my question wouldnt be there anymore.
No, you’re fine! I was worried that you didn’t get my message. 🙂
This recipe rivals, if not surpasses other briskek dishes I’ve had, including those from BBQ establishments. People’s tastes for things will always be subjective, but for those who know what they want in a roast or any other recipe involving their favorite cuts of meat, they can tell almost right away just by looking at the recipe and I already knew by looking at yours! The rub alone was delicious!!! Thank you for a FANTASTICK Brisket recipe!!!
This was excellent ! I will make it again when I have company so that they too can enjoy it.
Thank you,
SusieQ
Thanks for trying my recipe Susie! XOXO
Can you make gravy from the juice left over from the slow cooker? do you have a recipe for that? I would love to try to make it this weekend.
Hi Cheryl. I’m sure that you can. I just don’t have a recipe posted on it.
Hi Rosie! I’m about to give your recipe a try. I have a 5 pound brisket. Is 12 hours on low too long? I noticed the brisket in your sample recipe is 8 pounds. Also, will I have any issues with cutting the brisket while it’s hot? Lastly, I have an internal temperature gauge. What should the internal temperature of the Brisket be after cooking. Thank you!
Hey there Aaron. You have a lot of technical questions. LOL! No need for all he headache. Simply reduce the cooking time by 2 hours or so. Let the brisket rest for a while before cutting it.
Thanks Rosie! I have so many questions because I don’t want to mess it up! Is an hour long enough to let it rest?
Hi hun! You can let it rest for 30 minutes 🙂
You’re the best Rosie! I’ll let you know how it turns out!
Hi do you have to use BBQ Sauce can it be omitted?
BBQ sauce was not used in this recipe.
Hi Rosie!
I found this recipe on Pinterest, and I have 2 crockpots almost done. (My dad gave us a Huge brisket and I had to cut into 3 pieces to fit my crockpots.)
My question is: once done, can I leave in the crockpot a while and then put it into the oven to create the Bark? It’s gone from midnight until noon.
Thank you for your help! And the deliciously smelling house!
Erin
Hi Erin! I wouldn’t keep it in the slow cooker too long, before transferring it to the oven.
Made this last night to serve today. Followed the recipe exactly and will be making it for Memorial day. Can’t say enough. This is great! We have our own farm raised beef and This will now be a go to recipe. Thank you
Hi Saundra! Thanks for trying my recipe! I’m glad that you enjoyed it!
Hi Rosie, if I use a 3-4 lb. brisket, how long do I cook it for in the slow cooker?
Hi Calle. Try 8 Hours:-)
This was flippin’ awesome. I was out of liquid smoke but substituted smoked paprika so probably a similar effect. Couldn’t believe how it tasted and carved like authentic smoked bbq. Will be using this recipe again.
Hi Jan! Glad that you like the recipe!
Hi, Rosie! Thank you so much for sharing this awesome recipe!!! I didn’t mean to buy brisket because I’ve never tried to cook before. However, it was sale and my husband wanted me to do cook somehow!!! Pinterest saved my life!!!! I found your brisket picture. Fewest ingredients and fewest steps… I cooked this yesterday for Father’s Day dinner!! Everybody LOVED it!!! Your homemade BBQ rub is also AWESOME!! I just love your technique: Rub, cook in slow cooker, Broil and rest. These are easy steps and definitely foolproof!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
You are so welcome! Glad that you found my blog! XOXO
Wow!!! I was skeptical at first, but since my husband didn’t make it over the weekend (in the smoker), I decided to try and have meat ready for dinner today (Tuesday) before it was “too old”; if it wasn’t for brisket sandwiches, I could at least shred it and make tacos, but…
It was awesoooooome!! I can say that it was better than the one in the smoker!! Thank you for the recipe, delicious!!
The fat tasted great and kept the meat super moist!
Hi Zoe!!! I’m glad that you liked the recipe! It’s definitely one of my favorites!
I am making it for the first time today in the slow cooker as we speak. Mine was a little big for th crockpot curled up a little on the sides do you think it will still be ok in the crockpot?
It should be fine, because it shrinks when it cooks 🙂
Searching Pinterest for a recipe for beef brisket and came across yours. Heading to the store tomorrow! looks fabulous. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
Hi Linda! So glad that you found my blog!
Hi Rosie,
Looks really juicy. can’t wait to try it. i do not have a dry rub recipe yet. i just bought a brisket today. i will be making this soon
Be sure to try my BBQ rub. It’s perfect for this recipe.
Hey Rosie, thanks for sharing this tasty looking recipe. I was wondering, you know the seasoning packet that normally comes with corn beef briskets, should I not add that to this recipe? I didn’t see you use it but I was just wondering. Thanks so much and have a great holiday.
Hi Ronnie! Please note that this recipe is NOT corned beef. This is a regular beef brisket, which does not come with a package of seasoning 🙂
Okie doke, thanks for the fast reply. I guess I was a bit confused because the meat I purchased says “corn beef brisket.” So I’ll stick to the corn beef slow cooker recipe. Glad I asked before I started cooking lol. Thanks again
Yeah, it can be confusing. I’m glad that we caught it before as well! LOL
Can’t wait to try this. By the way I have a slab of corned beef that was on sale. Do you by chance have a recipe for it via slow cooker or oven? I’ve never cooked one. Looking forward to subscribing.
Hey Aundrea! I’ll see what I can do as far as the corned beef recipe 🙂
Happy New Years, just made this for our New Years Lunch and wow!!! My company absolutely devoured the brisket, they loved it, and i loved it as well, easy no brainer but man, it was absolutely delicious, thanks for a great recipe Rose, looking forward to more great meals, thank you.
Thanks for trying my recipe Chris!!
Thank you for this amazing recipe! I would usually smoke my brisket but we just moved and I didn’t want to drag it out. My hubby was skeptical about putting in the crockpot but needless to say he went back for thirds!
So glad that you like the recipe Kristina!
Hi Rosie!
I can’t wait to try this recipe. I tried your bbq rub on boneless pork chops and my 12 year old daughter loved it. Can you please tell me approximately how much rub you used before you added the liquids? Thank you!
Hi Rosie, just made my brisket and it looks fab. I’m just letting it rest at this point. I was wondering how do you store your leftover brisket? Should I pour some of the leftover juices over the brisket to keep it moist? The “juices ” looks to good to waste. Thanks in advanced for the pointers.
Hi Ronnie! Yes, I store it with the juices 🙂
Hi Rosie, your recipe mentions a BBQ rub. Do you have one you specifically use or recommend? I can’t wait to try this recipe this week.
Hi Cammy! Here is the link to the BBQ Rub
The page doesn’t work for the recipe
Hello Marina. I’m not sure why you’re not able to see the recipe on your end, but I see it on my end.
I made this last night/this morning. This was my first brisket ever, so I chose this recipe carefully. I bought the brisket on sale, and since I knew nothing about brisket I had the butcher choose it for me. I followed the recipe to the letter and I have to say that I was skeptical about the bark part, I didn’t see how it could make a nice bark after being in the crock pot all night. I put it under the broiler, and voilà! It barked! Woof! Now, I’m a believer! My very first attempt at a brisket was highly successful due to your video/recipe! This is better than any brisket I have ever eaten!
Glad that you liked the recipe Barbara!
Oh my! This recipe is amazing. I’m so glad I found this as I’m sure your recipe will be a repeat and favorite. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Rosie, you are simply amazing!!!
***I put together a video. You can find it @ Carey Weisweaver, Arbonne Independent Consultant within FB.
Hi Rosie. I’ve never seen liquid smoke in my part of the world. Can I leave it out or what can I substitute it with? Thanks
It adds plenty of smokey flavor, but can be omitted if needed.
Hey Rosie, would love to try this recipe out soon! My question is, can I make this ahead of time and how should I heat it up? My party is at 6pm and I would like to make it the evening before since it requires 12 hrs. Thank you thank you!
Yes! You can make it ahead of time. Simply warm it up in the oven on 325 F until it’s warm.
Thank you replying <3
Of course hun! Xoxo
Hi again Rosie,
Here’s my plan for making ahead:
1. Cook in slow cooker at 6pm the evening before (for a 6pm next day party).
2. Take the brisket out of slow cooker at 6am.
3. Rest at room temprature till 5pm.
4. Broil according to intructions and let it rest before slicing.
What do you think? Will the brisket dry out at Step 3?
My Crockpot is a 5 Qt., how do I adjust Brisket size and cook time?
You don’t have to adjust the time, just find a piece that can fit into the slow cooker 🙂
Hi Rosie, I love brisket and I’m trying this tomorrow! Did you used all the Rub, for the meat? Thank you!
Yes, I used it all.
Hi Rosie,
Would you say this recipe yields a better brisket or the oven roasted brisket recipe?
I prefer the slow cooker recipe.
A-MA-ZING!!!!! Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe with the rest of the world! 😀 You’re the best!
Rosie what are the ingredients for the rub. Sorry thinker I missed it.
Here’s the link the link to my bbq rub
I had given up on brisket , I had a piece in the freezer and had to use it . I came across your recipe and tried it !! OMG Rosie ! This was the best … since it was a smaller piece I slow cooked it for 10 hours instead of 12.. everyone loved it ..Thank you so much for sharing !!! Now with your recipe in hand , I’m ready to tackle brisket once again !!
YAY!! I’m glad that you liked the recipe Stella!
Hi Rosie!
My husband bought a salt and pepper brisket at Aldi, I think it’s already rubbed with salt and pepper if that makes sense. Would I need to adjust the rub so it doesn’t get too salty or too peppery? Thanks!
Absolutely. You have to change it up since seasoning is already added.
When you use the broiler, are you using high or low?
Sorry if this was asked previously. I believe I read through the comments completely and I’m not seeing this.
Thanks in advance!
Try low 🙂
I made this on Christmas and everyone LOVED it. I can’t really afford to make brisket all the time but on holidays and special occasions I will use this recipe for now on. I’m going to make your black eyed peas on New Years Day and I hope they are just as delicuous
Amazing! Made for Easter and it was a huge hit! Followed your rub and recipe to a T and even reheated the day after it was moist and flavorful! Thank you gor making me look like a pro!
Hi Ms Rosie dont mind me asking but wat was the rub u used r wat to use to put on the brisket
Hi Ms Anna. The recipe is here.
Hi rose i used my ninja foodi airfryer/pressure cooker to cook my brisket and i used the broil function on that without having to take out the meat and it browned nicely
Very good recipe.
I never leave reviews but just had to after I tried your recipe!! WOW!! I put the rub on the night before and let it marinate in the fridge. Added some cumin and hot and sweet paprika. Put the brisket over a bed of sliced onions, then pureed the juices and onions. The brisket with the bark was soooo good. So juicy!! Great flavor too!! I’ve been missing my smoker but this more than did the trick!! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!! Posted a picture of it on your Pinterest recipe site!
Excellent. Great flavor. 2.27 lb. 6 hours- 4 hours wrapped- 2 hours unwrapped. I did NOT trim fat cap, usually I do. I had lots of juice when I unwrapped. I injected some back into the meat while the slow cooker perfectly darkened the brisket. I usually smoke my briskets. My husband said this was my best brisket yet. Fell apart – so juicy and lots of flavor. ❤️❤️❤️
I love your recipes. My turkey wings, your turkey wings are now our favorites. I have recipes of yours I can’t wait to cook. You are the bomb.
Thank you so much!! XOXOXO
Thank you, Rosie, for this fabulous brisket recipe. It was excellent. Today was the first time I cooked a brisket, and this recipe was so easy to follow and make. You are a truly appreciated.
I have been making this for a long time! It’s the best beef brisket ever! Taste like it’s been a smoker all day
My Brisket turned out delicious! So I’m making it again!! Very moist and tender.
How do I reheat the brisket? It’s a 6 lb brisket I made today for Monday.
– If your brisket is frozen, make sure to transfer it to the fridge a couple of days ahead to thaw it out slowly.
– Before reheating, let the brisket sit out to reach room temperature, which takes about 30 minutes to an hour. This helps it heat evenly.
-Preheat your oven to a low temperature, around 250-300°F. The low and slow approach is key here.
– Wrap the brisket in foil. Tip: adding a bit of beef broth or its original juices can keep it nice and moist.
– Place it in the oven. It might take around 45 minutes to an hour, but start checking at 30 minutes to avoid overcooking.
– Aim for an internal temperature of about 165°F. A meat thermometer comes in handy for this.
– Give it a 10-minute rest after taking it out of the oven. This step is crucial for juicy brisket.
– For the best texture, make sure to slice the brisket against the grain.
This is a scrumptious brisket…mmm good. Thanks Rosie
Best brisket ever! So easy to make in my slow cooker. Loved this and all your awesome recipes. Thanks, Rosie!
This is definitely a keeper. I’ve always been afraid of cooking brisket because it’s too expensive to ruin, but decided to try after seeing this simple recipe. Been making it every since. The bomb.com, thanks Rosie.
Rosie, I love it all. You make some beautiful food. Do you prepare it and sale it.It looks so delicious. Thank you ,Mary Williams
Thanks so much Mary! XOXO
