JUST MY LUCK
We had to go on a diet (Audrey and I) to get healthy….Abused for 77 years and now I find you…You’re one hell of a cook Rosie…Wifey slipped into the category of borderline diabetic,
I had to get her off Meds and so, zero sugar…While at it I went gluton free and dairy free.
What a dull life we’re leading….Modified diet gave me replacements and her Dr, unaware of what I did, told her “See the Meds are working to control diabetes Yeah sure….When she told him I was responsible you should see the look…Doctors love Meds.. BTW her sugar levels are normal after 6 weeks..
Just a month or so more and pounds that are shedding and then back to a modified diet..
After all these years I am a believer that “You are what you eat”
but since I found you (shhhhhhhhh don’t tell a soul) I cheat on occasion..
Thanks for all your wonderful recipes and quick responses.. Stay well and have a happy Thanksgiving
Mel
I don’t see the changes and I really wanna make this!!
I’m really not sure what you are talking about?
So which is correct, the video or the recipe?
The written 🙂
Im not a cook. But i followed the receipe and it turned out so flavorable and juicy. My boyfriend is not a turkey fan but there was no leftovers. It w as s a easy receipe to follow and make. Thank you.. i will try others.
Can you do oxtail. And plantains. He is from trinadad and i want to learn his favorite foods. Also stew chicken
Hello there Vanessa 🙂 . I have a oxtail recipe here. I have to work on getting a plantain recipe up hun! XOXO
Do you have a Facebook page?
Yes. Facebook.com/iheartrecipes
How many people does 2.5 lbs of turkey wings feed?
It depends on the people LOL.
Wow, I followed your recipe to the end and my picky boyfriend loved those wings
Rosie did you use flour in the video?
No, I didn’t use any flour for this recipe.
Hi, I wanted too cook the turkey wings and dressing together. My? Do I bake the turkey wings First and than and The dressing? Thanks
Yes. Cook the turkey first 🙂
In the video you say to pour in chicken/turkey broth. However, in the directions you said
“•In the bowl that the wings were in, there will be leftover seasonings. Pour 2 1/2 cups of water into the bowl, stir, then pour the water into the bake dish.”
Will you please clarify which step to take.
Also, is that flour? It looks like you put flour on the wings.
Did you cover it the entire time of baking?
Thanks
I changed the steps. You can use water OR broth. I prefer broth, but water will work. Also I did NOT use flour. What you see is the garlic powder and onion powder.
Thanks for the clarification! Looking forward to making these.
You left out how much pepper you should use…
You add as much pepper as you’d like. You know you taste buds better than I do 🙂
Thank you!=) I made this Thanksgiving and EVERYONE loved it.
These people are aggy lol you are a good cook period sharing your cooking knowledge for the good of doing keep doing you 😉
I made these tonight for dinner and my family LOVED THEM! They had so much flavor it was CRAZY! This recipe is absolutely YUMMY! I’ll making them again .
I’m glad that you liked it!! XOXO
thanx Rosie made these today for Easter dinner! smells sooo good in the kitchen lol 🙂
Glad that you liked it! XOXO
Hi Rosie!
I need to make about 4lbs of the this meat, which is 5 wings pieces between these to packs. Could you help me modify this recipe to fit my quantity needs??? Also, are you using dried minced onion and garlic or freshly miniced???? I know that normally if you double your meat then you double your ingredients and increase the cooking time by 1/2x’s more, but I want to make sure I get it right the first time lol…..
HI Joshua! I’m so sorry for the SUPER late response. You can use either dry or fresh minced onion or garlic… If you double the portion, I’d cook it in separate pans, just to make sure everything cooks evenly.
No worries and thanks!!! I actually have already made this dish and it was thebomb.com!!! Thanks again!
I made this recipe last night, was absolutely delicious. I omitted the fresh onion & garlic, but used all the other ingredients.
Hey Rosie, I made this dish a few months ago. Everyone loved these wings! So now I have a special request to make them again for a friend’s special dinner, along with your southern baked macaroni and cheese! Thank you so much for the delicious, and very easy to make recipes!
Thank you for giving my recipe a try!
Did you keep the dish covered the whole time? I made the smothered ones but I have a feeling I would love making turkey wings this way better.
Is the picture listed a result of the recipe? I’m trying to figure out if my wings will have that golden color.
Yes. All of the pictures on my blog are mine. The picture shown is from this recipe.
Just made these wings today. Extra trip down yummy lane!!! The meat fell off the bone and the flavors were explosive. I didn’t have the parsley flakes, but will try and find them for next time. Also made the red beans and rice…..excellent!
Will definitely try more.
Cheers!
Thanks for giving my recipe a try! XOXO
can i use this same recipe with the.cut up wings? my boyfriend didn buy whole wings he bout the ones cut up into portions like almost diced into big chunks, will this recipe still work???
Yes, you can use the cut up wings. You can also use legs, and thighs.
i did this and it was GREAT! thank you so much
Thank you for trying my recipe!
Can we make this in the crock pot?
I’d recommend sticking to the directions for this recipe. 😀
Good morning i am about to make these turkey wings and i was just wondering about the the lemon…im considering skipping this step. Can u taste the lemon or is it just to enhance the flavor? Or is it to help tenderize maybe, pleae help! Thanks
In my opinion, the lemon adds flavor. However, you can certainly skip that step 😀
Hi Rosie!
I have not made wings before. Am I supposed to break off the end of the wing? I noticed that yours looked different than the ones I have in the package before me. I’m a newbie at this. Can you help?
I prefer to remove the wing tips, but you can leave them on if you want.:-D
Hi Rosie!
I just made this pie today and baby let me tell you! It is sooooooo good. The only thing I did not like was the ginger. Don’t get me wrong, this pie is good! The ginger makes me think of pumpkin pie. The other thing I will do different next time is use your recipes for pie crust. I used store bought. Thanks for sharing this.
Hi Kesia! I’m glad that you were able to adjust everything to your liking! Happy Holidays! XOXO
I will be alone this Thanksgiving and picked up just turkey wings for me. I had looked at other sites to no avail and then I found YOU! These wings look delicious and I will be eating these tomorrow along with the rest of the trimmings tomorrow. TYVM I will let you know how they turned out. Jean L
Yes!! That’s what I did when it was just me! I made turkey wings, or a cornish hen, with two sides. I hope you have a amazing holiday hunny!
I’m allergic to garlic. Is there anything I can sub. so this dish will not loose to much of a flavor?
Omit the garlic 😀
I made this tonight and it was a hit!! Thank you for making us non-cooks seem like we know what we’re doing in the kitchen! 🙂
Hi Twana! Thanks for trying the recipe!
Hello Rosie,
Thank you very much for posting this recipe. As a Nigerian, I can appreciate the use of multiple spices and ingredients in order to create a very densely-flavored dish. I have added this to my list of tried and true recipes and will share it with others.
All the best,
Hope
Hi Hope! I appreciate you coming by! XOXO
My wings don’t seem to be as golden brown. Should I put them under the broiler?
Yes, but keep a close eye on it.

Hi Pamela! Glad that you liked the recipe!
Love to try new recipes, looking forward to trying this one and several other of your recipes!
Rosie,
Tried and loved your baked turkey wing recipe several months ago. About to cook some again today. As a variation, I use lime juice instead of lemon. I also add some thyme along with the other seasonings. Can’t wait!
Hi Ray! Glad that you like the recipe! XOXO
Hi Rosie,
This is hands down THE BEST turkey wings recipe I have ever had. I have made it about 5 times already lol. This recipe makes me want to eat turkey wings all the time. Thank you so much for sharing it.
Kimberly
Hi Kimberly! I love this recipe as well. I’m currently addicted to the Barbecue Turkey Wings… Have you tried them?
Hi Rosie,
No I haven’t yet but I will definitely be trying it soon lol
Hi Rosie,
I followed the recipe and it was very good and fall off the bone tender. However, I had to broil them because they didn’t brown. Not sure why they didn’t come out like yours. It appears you didn’t have to broil?
Hi Rosie,
I’m actually making the wings right now and I’m just wondering if for the last 45 minutes should you uncover them to brown or just let them go?
Sure. That would be fine.
Rosie,
I just tried the turkey wing recipe… Wow! Deelish! But I have a lot of the seasoned broth left in the baking dish. Is it safe to re-use? I’d hate to discard all that flavor, and I’d like to use it tomorrow with the leftover wings! Is it OK?
Absolutely. You can freeze it as well.
In the picture what are the wings on top of? Is that stuffing?
Yes . It is my down home cornbread dressing 🙂
Thank’s Rosie for this recipe. Cooked this yesterday for Sunday dinner and my husband loved it! Today he’s asking for left overs. Cooked just as your recipe directed, except I didn’t have paprika. Best turkey wings I have ever eaten or cooked. This one is a keeper.
OMG YOUR RECIPES ARE SO SIMPLE. NOW I KNOW WHAT TO COOK FOR EVERYDAY AND HOLIDAYS, THE FOOD LOOKS GOOD. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING THE PICTURES SO EASILY. LOVE IT THANKS
Hi Melissa! Glad that you like my recipes hun!
If I want to use a combination of wings and thighs, would the timing be the same for each?
It really depend on the size of the parts you’re using.
I’m trying to bake them tonight for Thanksgiving dinner . What is some tips on making them crispy ? Help please in S.C. !!!
Broil during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Thanks have a nice holiday Rosie .
Hi Rosie and Happy Thanksgiving! Just a note to thank you for this recipe. Just delicious! I was reluctant to try it because I thought there was too much liquid and it would taste like something out of a crockpot. No way! It browned up beautifully and was till still toothsome yet tender. IOW, just perfect!
Lol, I too love parsley! Gonna use this technique with chicken wings and it’s true — you can teach an old dog a new trick. Thanks again!
Glad that you liked the recipe!
These look delicious! I’d love to print it so can make them but I can’t find a Print button. Am I missing it or is there not a Print button?
Hi Esther! You can print the recipe, it just isn’t a recipe card. You have to print the page.
Would it be okay to make this in a dutch oven?
Absolutely! Xoxo
Absolutely delicious!!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!
Thanks for coming by!
I made these two weeks ago, making them again today. I wish I could post a picture
Made the wings over the weekend. I csn barely boil water but the receipe was easy to follow and very good. I couldn’t believe the flavor i receive from the season used. No leftovers and a request to make again. Fan for life
Glad that you liked the recipe!

Hi doll!! all of your food looks delicious 🙂 I’m trying out the turkey wing recipe. Do you have a link for the sweet potato cheesecake, I LOVE cheesecake but I never had sweet potato cheesecake. I looked but I can’t find the recipe 😉
Hi Natalie! Here is the link to the sweet potato cheesecake.
How can I make a gravy without using a cream of mushool?
Hi Hun! Try my latest smothered turkey wing recipe HERE.
Keep me sign up!
Rosie, I took meat from the freezer on Sunday fully anticipating that I would make Teriyaki wings for the family. To my surprise I had actually unfrozen Turkey Wings. I’ve never tried to cook them and had no idea what to do and I only had a few hours to get dinner prepared.
Thank God I found your blog. Your easy to follow recipe was absolutely delicious! I have a 14 year old son and my husband that love well seasoned food. The meat literally fell off of the bone and the flavor was define. I usually use the seasonings that you mentioned with the exception of the lemon. I tried it for the first time and I will always use lemon on poultry, as the flavor went to the next level.
Thanks so much for sharing your love for cooking and your gift for teaching with the world!
Hi Roz!! I’m glad that you found my recipe!! XOXO
Hello Rosie, I plan on making the baked turkey wings this weekend. Could you please tell me which stuffing receipe you used?
Thank you,
Alexis
I used my Down Home Cornbread Dressing in the video & pictures.
Thank you!
Hey Rosie!!!
I tried out this recipe a few weeks ago, and my family loved it. I tried to make it again Sunday night without your recipe and they were edible but my mom and boyfriend said that they were way better the first time, when i watched your video as I went along. Also, not too mention, I ran out of season salt and and chicken broth but i used the other 1/2 cup of water. I think this time around I only had them in the oven for a little over an hour. Maybe the trick to juicy falling off the bone turkey wings is to let them cook for at least 2-3 hours. What do you think?
Yes, you can cook them longer. Have you tried my slow cooker smothered turkey wings? They are super tender!
Thank you Rosie for the Baked Turkey Wings recipe, and the Slow cooked Smothered Turkey Wings recipe.
Thank you for coming by Janice!
Made these yesterday and they were sooooo good!
They are in the oven now, smells sooo good, the only thing I added was cream of chicken soup and carrots to the broth after about 1 and 1/2 hours of cooking. We’re having this with mac n cheese (boxed), green beans (fresh), and dinner rolls. This is the first time i’ve done this to turkey wings, thanks so much for sharing!
Can I rub the wings with a little lemon juice in place of an actual lemon?
Sure can.
Omg!! I used this recipe over the weekend for my Turkey legs and wings, and it turned out superb! The meat was falling off the bones, and my hubby loved it! Thanks for sharing, and I will be making again.
I made this recipe last night, was absolutely delicious. I omitted the fresh onion & garlic, but used all the other ingredients.
i will cook the turkeywings for sunday dinner
My kitchen smells great right now thank you!
Hello just a thought, can you use theirs recipes on the Entire Turkey for Thanksgiving??
The Seasonings sound great!!
You sure can! 🙂
Hey Rosie,
Do you think it will be too off if I used smoked turkey wings!
Yes. It would probably be too salty.
Hi Rosie,
Do you think using smoked turkey legs will be ok?
Hi Marcia. Smoked turkey is usually already seasoned.
Oh Rosie, just to let you know — this is a DELICIOUS recipe! Wings aren’t common in my part of the country but the butcher did his thing with leftover turkeys from his magic refrigerator. Lo and behold turkey wings! 2 for $2.
The seasoning procedure would be awesome for a roast chicken.
Thank you and a most happy new year!
Thanks for sharing this recipe. I made it as written, without tweaking anything. The wings were very tasty and well-seasoned. I had leftovers the next day and they tasted even better. Because of this, the next time I make this I will season it and marinate it overnight before baking. I will also lower the amount of paprika. While I love the spice, I found 11/2 tbs to be too overpowering. I will probably decrease it to 1 tbsp and increase the poultry season by 2 tsp.
Also, for those of you wondering how many wings to cook – three medium wings turned out to be 2.75 lbs for me. One wing person was enough for my family. I really enjoyed this recipe and look forward to trying more of your delicious food.
Three years later! And I’m still using this recipe!! Sooo good….in fact I’m about to slay this today! Thanks
Listen, I made these Turkey wings the other day and they were banging!!! Lol I’m so happy I found your cooking blog, you are the best. Definitely trying more recipes
Oh my goodness! I made these turkey wings the other day and they are the best EVER! Easy to follow recipe and such delicious flavors. My husband couldn’t stop eating them. Thanks so much for this wonderful recipe. I’ll need to check out your other recipes.
Thanks so much for trying my recipe! XOXO
Girl, these turkey wings are insane. Moist and so flavorful!!! Thank you
Good Morning, I can’t find Turkey Stock. Can I use Chicken Stock? I want to bake your baked turkey wings.
You sure can! XOXO
Rosie, these wings are “Off The Chain”, thank you. I’ll be doing Thanksgiving alone this year due to Covid, and this is what I’ll be making. I did make a small change however. Instead of using broth or water, I use a can of “Cream of Celery”. It makes for a nice thick gravy.
Thanks again!
My mother has been cooking for years and she’s pretty good but we found your blog about a year ago and we have never looked back. My entire thanksgiving is going to be A la Rosie this year . Cant wait for your cook book! I’m trying to go get some of the prep work out of the way do you think I can season overnight and then just pop in the oven or would the seasoning be overwhelming?
Hi Key,
I was wondering the same thing, seasoning the night before. I decided against it because like yourself, I did not want the seasoning to be overwhelming. I’ve made these wings before and they came out sooo good. I guess I’ll leave well enough alone. Enjoy!
