Baked Barbecue Pork Chops

10/4/15

These Baked Barbecue Pork Chops have that smokey flavor that tastes just like they were grilled.

Easy oven baked barbecue pork chops!

In this post we’re making oven baked barbecue pork chops. This recipe is super easy to whip up, and these barbecue pork chops are perfect during the busy week. It takes very little time to prepare these pork chops, and the cooking time is approximately 40 minutes.

These oven baked barbecue pork chops have a crispy outside and with lots of seasonings.

For this recipe I used bone in pork chops, that is my preference. However you can use boneless pork chops. Also this recipe works great with pork steaks! I’ve made oven barbecue pork steaks several times, and they come out terrific!

These homemade oven baked barbecue pork chops are great for any meal.

To season my oven baked pork chops, I used my homemade barbecue rub- which is pretty amazing! If you want, you can use a store bought barbecue seasoning( it won’t be as good as my homemade rub though! LOL!)

Again, this recipe is super easy. Try it out for yourself, and leave me a comment down below

You do some amazing cooking,, I mean you cook from scratch also. What can’t you cook?
My daughter loves your fried cabbage so much, sometimes it’s all that she wants. There was a time when she would never eat cabbage. I think I cook about five heads of cabbage per month now.
I need a recipe for stuffed shrimp with real crabmeat and I want to do a lemon coconut cake. Let me know if you plan on doing either of those please.
Thank you and keep up the excellent work.

My husband and friends say I am a disaster in the kitchen. In fact, my husband does 99% of the cooking. Tonight he didn’t feel good so I said I would cook. Terrified I am sure, he said alright. I found your recipe for the baked barbecue pork chops and homemade rub. I followed the directions exactly and was nervous because I really shouldn’t be allowed in a kitchen. They were wonderful! My husband has never liked anything I made but he raved over our dinner tonight! Thank you so much for a great meal!!!

Rosie after a long day yesterday all I wanted was the comfort of home and a home cooked meal. I looked online for something simple to fix
and stumbled (or was it Devine Intervention?..) for your BBQ Baked Pork Chops….oh my goodness did that recipe fit the bill!
I also used the bbq rub on some sweet potato wedges and roasted them along side on a baking sheet. Ah this meal just soothed my tired soul.
Thank you for all of your work and effort on this site… it made a difference in my life last night..

This is hands down the best oven BBQ pork steak I have ever had. It was so tender I could cut it with a fork. I made your BBQ spice rub it is so good! Since I am allergic to cayenne pepper and had no paprika, so I just substituted them both with Chipotle chili powder. Gave me the heat and smokiness needed for it. I used Pork Shoulder Steaks. My family loved it. I loved it. A keeper for sure.

    Hi Rosie!
i tried your recipe as I was in a bind for ideas. I followed it to the letter (except ,I added 1 can of crushed pineapple on top of the onions). It was a hit with the kids but I believe the extra juices from the pineapple thinned out the BBQ sauce too much. Next time I’m following your recipe and I’m sure it will be Amazing! Thanks for the recipe!.

These turned out great! However, my husband was upset because they were baked in their own grease. He refused to eat them, so I had to freeze them. He’s diabetic and trys to stay away from meats cooked in their on juices unless absolutley necessary. Next time I use the recipe I will put them on racks.
