Best Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

3/22/17

Tender ribs smothered in tangy BBQ sauce served hot out of the oven! How to make the BEST damn oven baked bbq pork or beef ribs! ( Get ready to print your new favorite rib recipe!!!)

Check out this Best Oven Baked BBQ Ribs Recipe!

Who doesn’t like soulful oven baked bbq ribs?! I absolutely love them, and I just happen to have the best recipe for southern style oven baked ribs that are simply to die for. I have recently been playing around in the kitchen, while hosting a few get togethers, and hunny- I came up with an amazing wet rub! I still like to use my dry barbecue rub occasionally, but I am currently stuck on this recipe. Like seriously- Every time that I make ribs with this wet rub, people go crazy! As mentioned on my instagram, someone actually asked me if I put “crack” in wet rub, because they said that the ribs were addicting!! LOL. I assure you, these ribs are crack-free,  but be warned… Once you try this recipe, YOU will be addicted too!

Rosie what size pan are you using . I used a cookie sheet from Walmart for $0.88 cents but it only could put one ribs not two . I only cooked one package of st. Louis style ribs. Next time I want to cook 2 packages like you did. I didn’t see where you mention the size of pan. these ribs were great I can’t wait to make it for 4th of July. I did with baked beans.

Hi Rosie! Love your recipes. I plan on making these delicious looking ribs this weekend and would like to know if the seasoning needs to be on the front and back of ribs. For example 1 tbsp of vegetable oil on front and 1 on back. Sorry for the confusion and maybe I’m overthinking, but def don’t want to mess up this wonderful recipe. I can not wait to try them.

Rosie I for a long time WAS intimidated to make ribs. I dont know I stumbled upon your website however your videos and instructions are simple to follow. I have made several of your recipes especially the crock pot mac and cheese as well as the southern mac and cheese. Back to these ribs I bought 1 slab and even the Husband was nervous about me making them. His tune quickly changed once he saw they were falling off of the bone and absolutely fail proof. I followed the recipe to the letter except I forgot to season both sides until I read others review I missed that step. Even with this they were still melt in your mouth fall of the bone. I will use NO OTHER recipe and glad to have found your site. Hugs from across the screen.

Not only are these ribs amazing, but the dry rub itself is so versatile (and delicious!). I have made the ribs multiple times (in the oven right now, as a matter of fact) but I make a huge batch of the dry rub -minus the mustard powder to be more versatile- and use it on any pork I cook. It is also amazing on salmon, chicken, roasts, steak, shrimp…basically everything! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe 🙂

These really are incredible ribs. I’ve always wanted to try making them in the oven but, even tho I’m an experience cook and baker, haven’t been really very secure about it. The St. Louis ribs went on sale for a really great price so I went for it.

Subbed the onion powder for an actual onion and used maybe about 2 tbsp of actual mustard instead of dry mustard. Turned out great, the comments about these being addicting aren’t a joke. Will definitely be my main method of making ribs from now on.
For anyone making these, don’t repeat my mistake, wrap the ribs in foil completely – I just covered the top and much of the seasoning dripped onto the baking sheet and burned. Not a huge deal for the ribs but this does become an inconvenience when cleaning.
