How to make the BEST damn oven baked bbq pork or beef ribs! ( Get ready to print your new favorite rib recipe!!!)
Check out this Best Oven Baked BBQ Ribs Recipe!
Who doesn’t like soulful oven baked bbq ribs?! I absolutely love them, and I just happen to have the best recipe for southern style oven baked ribs that are simply to die for. I have recently been playing around in the kitchen, while hosting a few get togethers, and hunny- I came up with an amazing wet rub! I still like to use my dry barbecue rub occasionally, but I am currently stuck on this recipe. Like seriously- Every time that I make ribs with this wet rub, people go crazy! As mentioned on my instagram, someone actually asked me if I put “crack” in wet rub, because they said that the ribs were addicting!! LOL. I assure you, these ribs are crack-free, but be warned… Once you try this recipe, YOU will be addicted too!

I usereular mustard instead dry mustard and regularcsalt. I boil it on stove for hour than put in oven. I put in oven . these ribs were great. Thanks Rosie and happy mothers day. What are you cooking for mother day.

Rosie says

Veronica says
Rosie what size pan are you using . I used a cookie sheet from Walmart for $0.88 cents but it only could put one ribs not two . I only cooked one package of st. Louis style ribs. Next time I want to cook 2 packages like you did. I didn’t see where you mention the size of pan. these ribs were great I can’t wait to make it for 4th of July. I did with baked beans.
Rosie says
I have a pretty large cookie sheet. I don’t know the exact size of it. If needed you can use two 9×13 bake dishes.

Your spare ribs look good.I like to know do you put the sauce only on one side or both and do you turn it over and do the other side to broil?

Hi Sandra! You can put as much sauce on as you like. I just eyeball everything. No I didn’t broil each side, but you can if you’d like 🙂

Hi Rosie! Your recipes are awesome! I’ve tried many, and they all are great! Did you season both sides of the ribs or just one side??
Rosie says
I seasoned both sides 🙂
Dri says
Hi Rosie! Love your recipes. I plan on making these delicious looking ribs this weekend and would like to know if the seasoning needs to be on the front and back of ribs. For example 1 tbsp of vegetable oil on front and 1 on back. Sorry for the confusion and maybe I’m overthinking, but def don’t want to mess up this wonderful recipe. I can not wait to try them.
Dri says
**Rosie I see in previous comment that you do season both sides, so please disregard previous question. Do you sauce both as well or just the meatier side that is up and shown in your video?
Rosie says
Sauce both sides.
Yvonne Barrow says
Can you season these ahead if time like let marinate over night
Rosie says
You sure can 😉
Ms.Felicia says

Rosie I for a long time WAS intimidated to make ribs. I dont know I stumbled upon your website however your videos and instructions are simple to follow. I have made several of your recipes especially the crock pot mac and cheese as well as the southern mac and cheese. Back to these ribs I bought 1 slab and even the Husband was nervous about me making them. His tune quickly changed once he saw they were falling off of the bone and absolutely fail proof. I followed the recipe to the letter except I forgot to season both sides until I read others review I missed that step. Even with this they were still melt in your mouth fall of the bone. I will use NO OTHER recipe and glad to have found your site. Hugs from across the screen.
Rosie says
SO glad that you found my blog and tried my recipe!! XOXO
Annette Jackson says
OMG Rosie!!!!!

Karen Martin says
These ribs are amazing as with the other dishes you have graciously shared with everyone. I may never go back to the grill.
Do you have a cookbook?
Rosie says
I don’t have a cookbook at this time 🙁
Erin says
Not only are these ribs amazing, but the dry rub itself is so versatile (and delicious!). I have made the ribs multiple times (in the oven right now, as a matter of fact) but I make a huge batch of the dry rub -minus the mustard powder to be more versatile- and use it on any pork I cook. It is also amazing on salmon, chicken, roasts, steak, shrimp…basically everything! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe 🙂
Kevin says
Rosie they turned out as you said. So tender, fall off the bone delicious! Very flavorful. I will definitely make these again!
Rosie says
Thanks for giving my recipe a try Kevin!

Another Rosie hit!! I made two slabs thinking I’d have enough to take to work to share with a coworker. My family of 5 left nothing but scraps.
Monica says
These really are incredible ribs. I’ve always wanted to try making them in the oven but, even tho I’m an experience cook and baker, haven’t been really very secure about it. The St. Louis ribs went on sale for a really great price so I went for it.
Thanks so much! Looking forward to checking out some of your other recipes.

Seriously the most tender, fall off the bone, succulent, fastest, tastiest, stickiest, ribs EVER made in an oven!!!! Didn’t have the dry mustard ( which is sad) but they were still tremendous! Thank you for posting and I will definitely be subscribing so I can try more of your recipes!
Camille says
Made these twice in one week because my husband and son LOVED them. Unfortunately, I dont eat meat but just seeing the look on their faces is EVERYTHING. Thank you!
Illia says
Subbed the onion powder for an actual onion and used maybe about 2 tbsp of actual mustard instead of dry mustard. Turned out great, the comments about these being addicting aren’t a joke. Will definitely be my main method of making ribs from now on.
For anyone making these, don’t repeat my mistake, wrap the ribs in foil completely – I just covered the top and much of the seasoning dripped onto the baking sheet and burned. Not a huge deal for the ribs but this does become an inconvenience when cleaning.
SandyW says
I just made these, and I can say AMAZING!!!!

Can I use this recipe for baby back ribs? Will I need to adjust temperature or baking time?
Rosie says
Yes, you certainly can. No adjustments needed.
JMadison says
These ribs look fabulous!! Are you dressing both sides of the ribs or just one side?
Rosie says
Hello! Yes, I season, and add sauce to both sides. 🙂
JMadison says
Thank you!
Geri says
Could I make these with country style ribs?
Rosie says
Hi Geri. You sure can!
Geri says
Thanks Rosie. I would probably have to cook them a little longer, right? Since they are thicker??
Rosie says
Yes, and maybe 15 more minutes to the listed time.
Toma says
