Slow Cooker Spiral ham with pineapples & cherries. My all time favorite ham recipe made easy in the Crock-Pot!
Table of Contents
The holidays are creeping up, which means you all are gonna need an amazing ham recipe. Sure, I shared my baked glazed ham recipe last year, but this time I want to share a slow cooker ham recipe. This ham recipe will be extremely similar to my other ham, because we will be using pineapple, cherries, brown sugar & etc. However, there are less steps because we’re just gonna toss all the ingredients in the slow cooker.
How to Make Slow Cooker Spiral Ham for the Holidays
For this recipe I will use a spiral ham, but make no mistake – you can use any ham that you’d like to use, just make sure that it’s fully cooked!
Most hams come with a glaze mix. However I don’t use it, because I like to make my own glaze. My simple glaze for my slow cooker spiral ham consists of brown sugar, honey, mustard, and pineapple juice (or the syrup from the canned pineapples!). I simply combine the ingredients in a large bowl, then I mix everything until it’s well combined. The glaze is then poured over the ham along with pineapples and cherries. Then I cook the ham in my Crock-Pot on LOW for no longer than 3 hours. Anything longer than three hours WILL dry out the ham.
I usually buy a 8-10 pound spiral ham, and I use the slow cooker below.

Hi Rosie, In a few of the recipes, it seems as if the ingrdients are in a cooker bag inside the crock pot, is that true?
Rosie says
Hi Yvette! The bags used in the slow cooker are slow cooker liners.
George says
Do you need liner or is it for easy clean up
Rosie says
It’s for easy clean up

Girl I can’t wait until Thanksgiving all of my food will be coming from your recipes, everything looks so tasty and delightful. I love to cook myself and some of your ingredients are similar to mines but I’m sure yours are better. I’m so excited!!!!! Thank you Thank you and Thank you again!
Rosie says
I can’t wait until Thanksgiving either!! Happy Holidays!!
Carmen Pirtle says
Can you make this without the cherries? If so do you need to change the recipe at all?
Rosie says
Yes you can.
Jasmin says
Can the same ingredients be used if I put the ham in the oven instead of the crock pot? My ham is too big for the crockpot. Or not sure if I can just cut up the ham and put it in the crock pot using the same glaze.
Rosie says
Absolutely! Happy holidays!
Kierra says
Does it matter whether you use light or dark brown sugar ??
Rosie says
You can use either 🙂

Hi Rosie, you don’t know it but you were at our Thanksgiving feast. We used all of your recipes for our meal. They all were a hit, but the ham was the guest of honor. Over the years we have had some dry hams. Not this year! It was so juicy and delicious. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes for non-cooks like me that can follow a recipe. My family thought I hired a chef, lol.
Rosie says
Hi Dana! Thanks so much for trying my recipes! XOXO

I just wanted to stop by and say Thank you. I will never cook my ham in the oven again. The uam in the crockpot is juicier than the oven. I also use the recipe you have given on this page.
Octavia says
Definitely gonna try this
Candice Milliken says
Hey cousin! I don’t have a crockpot so I’m wondering what would be the oven temp and time? And covered or uncovered? Thank you!
Rosie says
You can cook it in the oven on 325 F, for about and hour.
Stephanie Bruce says
Can this recipe be made using a regular ham? (Not spiral) and just cook longer?
Rosie says
Hi Stephanie. Absolutely!
Ash says
Can I prep this all in the crockpot the night prior? Or will it ruin the glaze?
Rosie says
For best results, for the step listed 🙂
Mel says
Can you make this recipe without honey? I don’t want a sweet ham?
Rosie says
Sure, you can do that.
