A Finger-Licking Good Recipe for Hot Wings!
My husband is a huge football fan (I guess we all are in my household). I swear, every Sunday is a 24-hour football event. We have the NFL football ticket, so we watch all the games. It’s like a sports bar, minus the hundreds of people coming and going. To make my hubby even more comfortable, I like to prep a few appetizers for him to eat while he watches the game. I usually make him some type of wings. So far I have shared my lemon pepper wings and honey chipotle wings….heck I even have a recipe for sweet and sour wings…I think it’s about time that I share my recipe for hot wings!
These wings are super easy to make, and they require basic ingredients that you probably already have on hand. The wings take about 15-20 minutes to make in total, and they go great with ranch, bleu cheese and many other dipping sauces.

Hi Rosie! Love ur recipes I tried these today and the sauce was so good I would have never thought it would be so easy! Only thing is.. When I deep fried I used canola oil and I don’t know if I let the oil get too hot or what but when I placed wings in, some of the flour on the wings would fall off and cook and burn in the oil so in the end the wings didn’t have much of the flour coating and had a bit of a burnt flour taste :/ still were yummy though w the sauce but please tell me how I can make the flour stick more and any tips for dee frying 🙂 thanks!!!!!

Hi Elisa!
It sounds like the oil wasn’t hot enough. Also, next time after you flour the chicken. Let the chicken sit for about 5-10 minutes before frying. This will help the flour stick to the chicken better :0)

Hello, Rosie. I’m so glad I found your site. I was in a cooking funk and was about to go crazy because I kept cooking the same things over and over and the recipes from the usual websites are always so bland and blah. You’re recipes are FABULOUS and they have given me my mojo back. Thank you.
Do you have a printable recipe for these hot wings?
Rosie says
Hi Klady! I’m glad that you found me as well. As of now, this recipe has to be printed manually.

Hi Miss V! I’m sorry, I don’t quite understand the question.
