Easy Homemade Apple Cobbler with Bisquick. Serve this apple cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, and you’ll be in cobbler heaven!
Recently I asked you all to comment your favorite Thanksgiving desserts. A lot you mentioned Apple Cobbler. I actually posted a apple cobbler recipe a few years ago, however a few of you asked for a Apple Cobbler with a Bisquick Topping!
Well, say no more – I have the perfect apple cobbler with Bisquick topping recipe to share! This apple cobbler recipe only requires a few ingredients, and it’s easy to whip up!
What are the best apples to use in apple cobbler?
I like to use granny smith apples in my apple desserts, because of the taste, and they also hold up well while cooking. If you have a different apple that you’s like to use feel free to use it.
This simple apple cobbler is spiced with ground cinnamon & nutmeg, as well as brown and white sugar.
You can serve this apple cobbler with bisquick topping any time of the year, but it makes a wonderful dessert during the holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter!

My mother made a similar dish with mixed berries as a kid. I had apples on hand and my daughter and I made this exactly as your recipe, it was delicious and it reminded me of my childhood.
We have now been making this on weekends and love it!
(I also tried with it with frozen berries, omitted the nutmeg and just a pinch of cinnamon and reduced the hot water at the end, it turned out great!)
Thank you for a great recipe.

I love this cobbler recipe! I’m just an old lady that feels that cobblers are basic comfort food and a recipe for them shouldn’t be complicated! The beauty of making a cobbler is that it uses normal ingredients found in anyone’s pantry and comes together quickly. Your recipe is perfect. My family loved it on this rainy day and my grandchildren want it to go into the regular rotation. Thank you so much!
Rosie says
Thanks so much for trying Lisa!!

I eat a gluten free and paleo diet which uses honey and maple syrup to sweeten. I tried your recipe with gluten free bisquick and I used half honey and half maple syrup instead of the sugars and it turned out delicious!!

I had some apples I needed to use up and I didn’t want to make a pie crust. I came across this apple cobbler using bisquick. Followed the recipe, so easy, with the only exception I drizzled a little powdered sugar and milk glaze on top after I took it out of the oven. Served it with ice cream…was delicious!! Will be make this cobbler again…peaches or even rhubarb would be good.
Thank you for this very easy and delicious recipe!
