How to make southern, soul food style oven baked barbecue turkey wings that are falling off the bone tender!
Ya’ll know how much I love southern, soul food style turkey wings. In the past I’ve share many turkey wings recipes such as southern smothered turkey wings, to even fried turkey wings. Well this time around I’m going to share my recipe for the best southern style oven baked barbecue turkey wings. Let me just give you a warning up front… These wings are freaking ADDICTIVE! Once you have them, you will make up an excuse for why you need to make them again!
Since I bake these soulful turkey wings low and slow, They always come out super tender, moist, and juicy. Don’t try to speed up the cooking process by baking the wings at a higher temperature…Stick to the recipe for best results!
Check out my video tutorial for these soul food style baked barbecue turkey wings!

When I say this recipe is flavorful and absolutely delicious. Woo Hoo!! I seasoned my wings with all your ingredients listed including the liquid smoke and olive oil. After I seasoned my wings I let them sit in the fridge for 3 hours to marinate. I set my oven to right between the 275 and 300 mark. I used an aluminum pan. Lined it with a big piece of foil. Sprayed the foil down with cooking spray and put the seasoned wings in the center. I then sealed the foil all around the wings leaving no room for air to get in or out. I baked them for 3 hours then took them out, put on the bbq sauce and then stuck them in the broiler until the bbq sauce was nice and sticky. The flavor was amazing. The meat was falling off the bone. I don’t eat chicken, red meat or pork and was getting bored with eating the same things over and over. One of the things I paired this with was your slow cooker candied yam recipe. I will be trying more recipes so keep them coming.

Rosie, I made these wings last night! Gurl, these wings had me winning! I doubled the recipe and while I see the pan in the fridge for leftovers, I bet there’s little in it! I’m having a turkey binge so doing the smothered wings tonight. I’m sure they’ll be just as delicious!
