This recipe makes 2 creamy and dreamy shots that taste just like banana cream pie.
Hi cousins—this smooth infused dessert is perfect for date night, girl’s night in, or a small dinner party. It takes about 5 minutes to make, and you can easily prep extra glasses to make more!
What are Banana Cream Pie Shots?
A banana cream pie shot is an inventive and delicious alcoholic drink. It is made with a combination of banana liqueur, vanilla vodka, whipped cream vodka, and heavy cream. It’s topped with whipped cream, a banana slice, and a maraschino cherry. And the shot glass is rimmed with graham cracker crumbs!
All of the ingredients are mixed in a cocktail shaker, then poured into a shot glass, and served chilled.
How to Make Banana Cream Pie Shots
Ingredients and Shopping List
Whipped Cream Vodka—smoother than standard vodka and it tastes just like whipped cream!
Immersion Blender—if you are really in a pinch, you can use an immersion blender. Omit the ice and add the liqueur to a small bowl or tall glass measuring cup. Pulse a few times on low to mix. Again, not for too long or you will whip air in.
Only Have Whole Graham Crackers?
Not to worry. Just grab a zip-top baggie and put 1/2 sheet in per drink. Roll over the baggie with a rolling pin, or crush with the back side of a spoon. You’ll have crumbs in minutes!
Can I Make More Than Two Shots at a Time?
Yes! Whether you want more than one shot per person or are serving multiple guests, you can make more than two at a time with the tips below:
Prep Your Glasses—prep your glasses first. If you won’t be drinking them all right now, pop them in the fridge.
Use Multiple Shot Glasses—you can only fit the ingredients for two shots (this recipe) in one cocktail shaker. So, if you want to make multiples, line up multiple shakers and fill them with ice and liqueur at the same time.
Cocktail Size—if you would like to make a cocktail instead of a shot, use a blender. Omit the ice from the recipe, triple or quadruple this recipe and pulse the liqueur in the blender. Don’t blend for more than a few seconds or you’ll whip air into your cocktail.
Can I Mix This in Advance?
Yes, but your Banana Cream Pie Shots are best when enjoyed directly after shaking. To save time:
- Rim your shot glasses in advance and place them in the fridge.
- Add the liqueur but not the ice to your shaker and keep it in the fridge.
- Once you are ready to serve, add the ice and shake for 15 seconds.
Looking For a Non-Alcoholic Banana Dessert?
Whether you have a banana theme going or want to provide a non-alcoholic option too, consider:
Drink Responsibly!
Dessert cocktails can sneak up on you, so plan accordingly! Designate a driver, take an Uber, and ensure that those drinking with you are sober before they hop in the car.
