It’s been brought to my attention that I am not the only cornbread lover here! I’ve been getting emails, and Facebook post regarding this recipe.
There is no wonder why this has quickly become a viewers favorite. This sweet cornbread is so darn moist, and incredibly buttery. It’s amazing with chili, red beans and rice, and can even be use in your holiday dressing.

In regards to your cornbread dressing recipe you said that we can use your cornbread recipe to make the cornbread. Is this correct? Also is there a difference between flour and light baking flour?
Rosie says
Yes you can use this cornbread for dressing. Light baking flour is just a self rising flour. Therefore you don’t have to add any rising agents. All purpose flour needs a rising agent. I hope this helps! 🙂
Mesha says
Hi. I love how easy you make it to follow your recipe but in California there are no stores that have light baking flour so what do I do so far as ingredients? 🙁
Rosie says
You can use self rising flour.

I made your cornbread and it seemed to turn out very good. However It took much longer than 35 minutes. I think my ingredients may have been off. Any suggestions.? Also I made your awesome peach cobbler but my filling is very dark. Does the vanilla make it dark? Maybe 1 tablespoon instead of 2 or will that change the taste.

Hi Rosie! Thanks for these recipes! I’ve made the soul food mac and cheese and my family loves it. Quick question, can I make cornbread muffins with this recipe using muffin tins? We are having a chili cook-off party at my job this Friday ahead of the super bowl (go Pats!) and thought this would be a good complement to it. Have a blessed day! 🙂
