Delicious crispy battered cod & chips, made easy with Young’s Seafood!
As many of you know I am a busy mom, and wife. I’m a homeschool mother, I work from home, and I’m currently looking to buy a house. Needless to say these past weeks, I’ve been drained more than usual. Sometimes I just don’t have the energy to cook. Like seriously, even I need a break out of the kitchen every now and then.
Recently my son requested that I make fish and chips for dinner, but I was honestly too tired to do it. At first, we planned to go out for dinner, but I decided that I didn’t want to spend that much money. Instead I headed to my local Walmart, and picked up a few packages of Young’s Crispy Battered Cod & Chips.
Can I tell you that it was AMAZING!! Seriously, the quality of Young’s Battered Cod & Chips was just as good (if not better) than the restaurants.
I simply followed the directions on the back of the package, and the outcome was incredible. The fish was crispy on the outside, and flaky inside. Just like I’d expect from a restaurant. The fries were nice and crispy as well.
I simply paired the fish and chips with lemon slices, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, and I also had some balsamic vinegar on hand.
Dinner was simply outstanding. We definitely plan on picking up some more of Young’s Crispy Batter Cod & Chips, and checking out more products from Young’s Seafood as well.
This easy recipe for fish and chips is made with Young's Seafood. This is an easy quick dinner that's better than any restaurant quality fish and chips, but for the fraction of the cost. We chose to make them in the oven for the healthier choice.
- 2 tbsp tartar sauce
- 1 tbsp cocktail sauce
- 2 oz balsamic vinegar
- 4 lemon wedges
- 1 Package of Young's Traditional British Crispy Battered Cod Fillet and Chips
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees
Remove all packaging. Place both the Battered Cod and Chips on a wire rack over a deep baking tray in the middle of the oven and bake for 22 minutes.
Serve with sides of Tartar Sauce, Balsamic Vinegar, Cocktail Sauce & Lemon Wedges
