  • Add all of the ingredients into a medium sized pot.
    4 medium sized yams, 8 tbsp salted butter, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 ounce bourbon whiskey, 1/4 cup light corn syrup, 2 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • Turn the heat on medium, and cook for 30 minutes.
  • Be sure to stir every 10 minutes or so, to make sure that it doesn't burn.
  • Reduce the heat to low, and let simmer for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Turn the heat off completely, and let cool.
  • Serve & enjoy!
