Ingredients

  • 15 oz of Chocolate cake mix follow directions on the back of the box
  • 15 oz of White cake mix follow the direction on the back of the box
  • Orange food coloring
  • Purple food coloring

Frosting

  • 1 lb confectioner sugar YES, 1 pound
  • 1 stick butter I used salted, but you can use unsalted if you prefer
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  • Follow the directions for each boxed cake mix.
  • Divide the white cake batter into two bowls. In one bowl add in a few drops of orange food coloring, and in the other bowl add in a few drops of purple food coloring. Mix both batters ( separately of course) until the color is well blended in.
  • Spray a bundt pan with baking spray OR grease and flour it.
  • Add half of the chocolate cake batter into the pan, and smooth it out. Next add in the orange, and purple cake batter and smooth it out. Finish by adding the remaining chocolate cake batter on top, and smooth it out.
  • Bake the cake for about 35 minutes on 350 F ( or check out the back of the cake box for times).
  • Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven, and let it cool for 5 minutes. Next, remove the cake from the pan, and place on the cooling rack, and let it cool completely.

Frosting

  • In a large mixing bowl, add in 1 stick of butter. Mix the butter until it's nice and smooth, then alternate adding in the confectioner, and milk. Once everything is smooth, add the vanilla extract. Mix until the frosting is nice and creamy, then dive the frosting into three bowls.
  • Leave on of the frosting bowls white, then in one bowl, add in orange food coloring, and purple in the other. Mix until creamy.
  • Divide the place the frosting in separate zip lock bags, and snip a corner. Drizzle the frosting over the cake ( watch the video)... Decorate, and serve!
